Anyone else getting the run around? Was told a couple weeks ago check went out on 4/23 and please wait as checks are lost, called this past Friday again, 5/21 was told to wait, it will show up, this time I said no please cancel the check and cut another 1 today, was asked if I wanted ACH instead. I said ok as long as it can be processed today and I get proof. I was told the person in charge of that is out until Monday. Today no ACH, no emails or calls answered or returned. Just seeing if anyone else is dealing with this. Thank you

I've had good luck with Trident but haven't used them in awhile. Let us know how this shakes out.
I can tell you that not 1 but THREE big well known brokerages have dropped the ball on my long existing QP ACH payments in the last couple of weeks.
I've also got a few smaller brokerages that have great reviews with 20ish days to pay listed and they are taking 45......and counting. These are smaller loads, less than $1k so I don't worry about them as much as long as they come through.
Just FYI, a new ACH setup is not going to happen in a day even if they are in the office.
I've also been wondering if the long term rates in the carrier's favor are really starting to turn the accounting screws on some brokerages. Anyone else consider this?PPLC Thanks this. -
I'd bet that there's some truth to this. Not sure of who or what, but when loads are paying 1.5x to 2x what they were six months to a year ago, it's a reasonable assumption that some folks are getting squeezed. Especially folks with bigger customers dumping them lots of loads at NET 60 or NET 90.

So how long is it overdue???
Anytime something is claimed to be "lost", let alone lost twice, that's a BS story.

Just an update this was handled today, it has been 60 days exactly since my wife invoiced the load. I was told I needed to pay a $35 stop check fee. I said yeah ok, then was asked to split the fee, I said no way wtf is the deal here. Couple hours later got a email saying the fee was waived and I got proof of a ACH. Let’s see what happens.

My thoughts exactly. The guy was telling me tons of checks have been lost, so what is every carrier giving in and paying the fee that there back charges them. Didn’t make zero sense to me. I told him I am a 1 truck carrier and if this ever happened to a vendor I use I would never ever consider asking them to pay the fee on a check that I paid them with because it was lost. I’ve never even heard of a bank charging for a stop payment, maybe for a returned or bounced check, never a stop payment. Totally bizarre. Deposit hit my account, I’d like to believe it really was a lost check, seems really fishy though.PPLC Thanks this.

My bank will charge a stop payment fee, 30 bucks seems like the number they use also.

Good for you! At least you got paid.

Just a heads up with anyone looking to do business with them. Looks like I wasn’t the only 1 to get jerked around. Glad I got paid.
ProfessionalNoticer and 86scotty Thank this.
