    you really are drinking kool-aid.

who taught you how to run your logbook? whoever it was...needs to be hung from a bush (i wouldnt want to waste a perfectly good tree).

your 10 hr break can be a COMBINATION of ANYTIME on lines 1 or 2. You can take 9 hrs off duty sleeping at your mommy and daddys house, then spend an hour in the sleeper to warm your truck up cause you let it sit all night (or whatever....just using this as an example).....you can be on lines 1 or 2. You go in and grab a meal? line 1. You go in and take a crap....line 1....you go in to shower....line 1.....after you do all that, you go scan your paperwork.....if it dont take more than 7 minutes, you DO NOT have to log it.

man scottie, you've got to be kidding me..........i'm just shakin' my head over here......

I will say that when I normally scan my documents, I am already on line 4 because I just finished fueling, but when the truck is parked and my 10 hour has started I for sure am not and have never been on line 4, and that includes if my truck is parked at a terminal and I am inside eating an on the computer and finishing my paperwork. With your thinking, if you are in your truck waiting for a load, it comes accross the computer, and you find out that you need to go inside to purchase something that will be needed for the load, are you going to put yourself on line 4 because you are now doing company business.

As I said, I am just finishing fueling so already on line 4. takes 2 minutes to scan. Back in the truck and rolling. Elogs makes it fun. You can go to line 1, then it has to be a minimum of 15 mins that you have to sit.

Then I guess that it is just Schneider. You know how picky they can be. You hit line 1, they expect 15 mins minimum. Every company has different policies and they way that they want. Back in the old days, if you pulled into full service fuel stop, did not even have to log 15 mins. Just had to flag.

No, Swift does not use the trip pack box. All of our trip papers gets scanned either at a terminal kiosk or at a Pilot, Love's, or Bosselman's (which is still a Pilot, but they specifically mention it anyway) truck stop. I'm not sure if they allow scanning at Flying J now or not since Pilot took them over. I've been meaning to ask, but whenever I talk to my DM, that's the last thing on my mind.

I do wish Swift would follow Interstates example by putting the scanners on the rig....
