Do you have the part number for this? I have called dealers looking for this and they claim it does not exist....
I have the tripac legacy-the one before the evolution model.
Initially my 65 amp burned out after years of use. I tried to replace it with the 120 amp, however my unit would turn on shortly and then shut off. I assumed it was becuase it had burnout or what not since the 120 was brand new out of the box.
When I contacted TK they said the 120 amp wont swtich on for me because I dont have this cable. He mentioned that apparently there was some sort of diode that was controlled by the apu's ecm equivalent-however my legacy model of apu did not have this cabel/capability to turn it on... needless to say i smelled something fishy
When I took my amp to a local alternator rebuilder to get it tested because I thought it had burnt out he showed me it does work. Howver, he had to ground the computer orange terminal to the negative terminal (that connects to the cable coming from the batter)in order for the alternator to work. Sure enough it works...
Not sure if anyone else had this workaround. Gonna try it this weekend on the apu to see how it works.
