Do you have the part number for this? I have called dealers looking for this and they claim it does not exist....

I have the tripac legacy-the one before the evolution model.

Initially my 65 amp burned out after years of use. I tried to replace it with the 120 amp, however my unit would turn on shortly and then shut off. I assumed it was becuase it had burnout or what not since the 120 was brand new out of the box.

When I contacted TK they said the 120 amp wont swtich on for me because I dont have this cable. He mentioned that apparently there was some sort of diode that was controlled by the apu's ecm equivalent-however my legacy model of apu did not have this cabel/capability to turn it on... needless to say i smelled something fishy

When I took my amp to a local alternator rebuilder to get it tested because I thought it had burnt out he showed me it does work. Howver, he had to ground the computer orange terminal to the negative terminal (that connects to the cable coming from the batter)in order for the alternator to work. Sure enough it works...

Not sure if anyone else had this workaround. Gonna try it this weekend on the apu to see how it works.

Cant remember any number it was a whole kit they sold me. It been way to long ago. But ground wire to the alternator is needed or you will get the start up followed by shut down. Also check the main ground wire going to the back of engine to frame. It will break but will touch together enough to run and shut down had I not seen mine sparking would have never found it.

It needs to be spec'd with the 120 from the get go.

I'm the biggest tripac fan on this site.

Getting a new one for the newest truck next week.

I got the driver convenience package. That's the 1800 watt inverter, and it comes with the 120 alternator.

TK in Tolleson is pretty good

    Here's part numbers-
