I.know I'm still a newbie about this.but did you do a good tug test? When I drop a loaded trailer I have to give it some good power in order for it to uncouple and it may feel like the jaws are still locked but maybe that's just because my fifth wheel isn't grease.

####, what are they teaching you people over at USX? This is the third time seeing something involving a 5th wheel accident. This makes the second lost trailer and the other was two women teaming that backed into the nose of the trailer 6 times before I finally jumped out and pointing at the 5th wheel because it was tilted in the wrong direction. Made a new set of foot holes in the lower nose guard above the skid plate.

lol, some people dont have common sense, 6 times and couldnt figure out why the 5th wheel wasnt hooking? pretty sad

I havent dropped a trailer and I plan to never do so, I check my #####, and I always make sure the trailer is lowered enough, had one earlier tonight that was jacked like 8 inches above my 5th wheel, dont know what others are thinking when they jack them up, jack until it touches the ground then back off a tad and then move on out....

No one over jacks a trailer 8". Your trailer was moved to a new location... likely was dropped near a drain, and dropped again on level ground. I posted about this b4, and how we just fired 2 drivers for assuming trailer height, one blamed spotter other blamed idiot drivers <---haha.

If your trailer has been spotted/moved never assume the same height even if you dropped it.

Cactus, Tx Shag Trucks Put Every Single Trailer Over 1Ft Higher And Have To Wind Down 43K Loads. Its JBS, not The Drivers At That Location.
