And your CDL would’ve been suspended on the spot. Especially since there was an injury.

There's good ones & bad ones. I prefer to avoid any contact with them. My daughter is a cop but she leaves her badge at the office.

Suspend for how long? Twenty minutes? A quick search can't find an FMCSR regulation that allows them to suspend my CDL for declining to do the field sobriety tests where I get out of the test and say alphabet, walk a straight line etc. I know there are times when I can be required to take a whiz quiz after an accident.

Washington state regulations are very clear on the matter. If you refuse, they can pull your meal ticket.
    RCW 46.25.090: Disqualification—Grounds for, period of—Records. (<i>Effective until September 23, 2022.</i>)
Where I live they can legally arrest you on SUSPICION of DUI,pending further investigation of course.

They are NOT clear on the matter because how can a field sobriety test of reciting alpabet, standing on one leg etc "determine the driver's alcohol concentration or the presence of any drug while driving a motor vehicle " as section (e) refers to. Only approved breathalyzer/blood tests are good for that, not an officer's keen instincts.

Nowhere in your cutout do I see the words "fiield sobriety test ."

Yeah I went for jury duty not long ago, a guy was fighting a DUI. They forced this guy to get jabbed in the arms with needles against his will. I didn’t get past the jury questioning, wasn’t picked to be on the jury. I probably would of voted to acquit just because I didn’t think it necessary to tell if somebody is drunk to do all that.

It says in section “e”:REFUSING to submit to a test or tests to determine the driver’s alcohol concentration or or the presence of any drug while operating a motor vehicle. It doesn’t have to be a field sobriety test. However typical protocol usually requires the test to be done within 24 hours or less.
