wow, I'm kind of surprised sites like these exist. but no, I'm not gonna try to fake it again. hopefully I don't wind up in the gutter because of that decision.

Do you have a history of keeping any job for a length of time? If your job history shows that the longest you stayed at a job was three months in the last 10 years, companies will fear putting training dollars into your future.

Some companies will ask for tax returns as a confirmation of where you worked and for how long, And the trucking industry often does more thorough background checks then some other industries, they will catch a lie.

Find a nice recruiter and ask them for assistance with your job history; they maybe able to lead you in the right direction.

Thanks everyone for all the replies I got in this thread. I applied to just about every company that hires inexperienced CDL Grads and the only two that would hire me were PAM Transport, and Werner. Neither are great choices from what I've read but I was just glad to get a response from any company. I decided to go with Werner between the two, and I have an Orientation scheduled with them next week (I don't know if that was the smartest choice but it's probably too late to turn back now). So again, I appreciate all the advice I got in getting my start as a trucker, hopefully things turn out ok and I can last at least 6 months at Werner and then consider my options again.

I have ZERO employment for last three years and Central refrigerated just asked for a few references....Needless to say I obtained my CDL and and finished my OTR training with central. Remember....Recruiters make a bonus on people that get seated on a truck with a trainer. Most will make sure you get into training. Make sure you can pass a drug test (Piss test) and your blood pressure and criminal background come clean.....Employment was the least my class had to worry about.
