yup. Staying awake for 17 hours equates to a .005 or so BAC. I forgot the math, but it's crazy. Not saying staying awake makes you drunk... it's just the latency of brain to body actions.
-
dont get what your saying smaggs staying awake gives you a high BAC?
never heard this before -
Sleep-deprived driving is the operation of a motor vehicle while being cognitively impaired by a lack of sleep. Sleep deprivation is a major cause of motor vehicle accidents, and it can impair the human brain as much as alcohol can.

This statement is correct, but lack of sleep affecting your BAC is not correct.

When he used the word "equate" and then clarified with "Not saying staying awake makes you drunk... it's just the latency of brain to body actions", I don't believe he meant staying awake makes you drunk (In fact he stated it didn't) or affects anyone's BAC.

dibstr is correct. I fail at typing on an iphone while tired.
You don't magically get alcohol in your system by staying awake.
I'm merely comparing the increase in latency of reaction times to that of a person who has had a couple of drinks.
Make sense?
Sorry about the confusing typing before. I'll work on it
