Trouble shifting when climbing

As others have mentioned try grabbing a full gear instead of half a gear. I find that to be a lot easier as well. We have some decent hills where I haul and I haul pretty heavy (130,000 gross) with a little 470 with an 18 behind it. I always grab one full gear or even 1 1/2 if it's that big of a hill that slows me down that fast!
