So far that's what I gathered too I understand its also possible to get it unbridged with some modifications to ecm and other mechanical components. Ill get full serial numbers tomorrow upon viewing I mainly need info to make sure Iam not being swindled into a bunk motor but I'm sure anything is better than these acert motors and exhaust treated newer engines. I've driven for a few companies and can only guess how much money is lost to sitting parked in a shop for bunk electonics

I've decided to go o/o after 10 years of driving. I only hope that the used truck I'm purchasing will not have any major issues other than minor standard wear and tear for the first 2 years then I hope to possibly geta glyder kit and upgrade if need be or do a good rebuild. I still drive a 78 chev pickup its time for its second rebuild still handles like a sports car

Their are other ways they can tell your speed, if your trailer is on a satellite tracker, getting to a weight station to quickly, or even you getting a speeding ticket. Just a thought!

I'm not heavy footed just don't like speed limiters. But I also refuse to allow some controlling type company to drop a sat in my truck so they Can tell if I stoped to take a poop. I don't mind tac cards though saved my ### a few times. I haven't had a speed violation for 7 years. But when I pass someone I don't wish to idle by for 3kms until I can pop back into my lane. Nothing worse than that hill coming up and still not able to get back into your lane.

You could look into a pro-link. They make a good unit, it is not cheap but if there are no passwords you can change anything you want with the right program card. Just a thought!

There is a gadget that fix the speed limiter problem for any truck (except for Mack) and I've heard someone who said is working fine. But I'm reluctant to buy it coz the website has no phone number to talk to a person and no adress in USA or Canada.
So how can I trust someone that has not even a phone number to talk to.
I've wrote two e-mails and someone very polite and professional answered back with detailes....but I'm still suspicious.
The gadget name is fastertruck. If someone has it I would really owe a bag with respect for some feedbacks, coz I'm 75% in USA and climbing hills speed limited is driving me nuts.

So the only option that I have is to visit the guys in Effingham,IL and pay them 100$ to trick my ECM. To bad I have to have installed first the"Driver Reward Program" and then to do the trick.
But I'll do it and finish with this story who drive me nuts every day.
