Truck engines

there are players who will appeare on hightway engine field soon. MTU with over 800 HP monsters, Mercedes OM444, Deutz, Iveco so we will see something unusual soon

 

i am not sure for om444 it is already out of production as much i know

but i have some question about MTU, does man and mercedes still use their engines

Not on highway....

Mercedes will use OM471/DD11/13/15 for class 8 trucks only, MAN - D28 only. Mercedes keeps using OM501/502 and OM457/460 till all parts for Actros MP3 and Axor be used. After that Mercedes will sell MP4 only. All class 8 trucks on US market will get the same engine with Detroit diesel label, but EPA2012!

does mtu still made engines for man and mercedes?

 

yes, and not for MAN and MB only, for Titan, MZKT, KZKT, BZKT, Astra and other...
