    It's a no frills 2005 Columbia with a 10 speed and I haul a pneumatic trailer. You guys are right, I'm probably turning the steering wheel too sharp while backing up. I do admit to probably taking a long time to back up (compaired to all you old timers. Ha ha), but I just don't want to hit anything. I'm sure the stopping/starting probably doesn't help.I'll try letting the clutch all the way out and then using the brake. Thanks.

    Broken springs in the clutch will cause it to "hop" when backing when loaded heavy... I'm nursing a bad clutch right now... same symptoms.
