I need to redo/replace mine and the 1 quote I got is almost as much as my kingpins...

I don't know of places in your area, but I did look up the prices on what we spent on the 2 trucks in my picture. The T-8 was $133 in 2004, the T-6 was $114 since the same place did it and already had the design made. That's vinyl decals, black background with white reflective on the name, and plain white numbers. For lettering to cost as much as a kingpin job, you're either getting something wildly extravagant, or they're ripping you off! Or is it painted lettering? I'll never do painted letters again myself, decals are so much quicker and cheaper and can be removed or replaced much easier than paint.

sorry my guy dont have his cutters anymore,,,,,and less money

Decals - not paint. He told me MIN of $500, but closer to $1k.
All that included was my name, company name..DOT number, VIN and 3 strips down the hood and side (largest strip was 3/4")
He does really good work - but too rich for my blood.
He wanted to resand/buff and stuff - I told him to just remove and replace the current strips (they are all faded or ripped) and then to redo the doors with MY company info on it and so on. No major mural or design like the trailer Jerry Reed drove.

$ 300.00 tops with the stripes
You may want to remove the old decals to save some bucks
They make a eraser type wheel that goes into a drill that will take them off without hurting the paint
If you have already tried your wife's hair dryer

I used a heat gun and removed most of them...not the lines though, just the names and stuff...
I got residue I need kerosene to get rid of... -
I would just look in the phone book for local sign shops,...
Most of them can make the design on the computer and show you what it looks like before they cut the vinyl,...
When I did mine it was less than 200 bucks and they did all the installation,...FriedTater and Hanadarko Thank this. -
I knew it was possible.....

If kerosene don't cut it use brake cleaner.Injun Thanks this.
