I have noticed that as well with work boots on. Don't feel bad and yes its a pita at times. Since I started wearing cowboy boots having had much problem with that. On that note don't wear leather soled #### kickers your foot slips off that clutch...a lot lol.

i like the floor clutch. when i got into a truck once that had the clutch come down from the dash like... felt like a school bus. i wear cowboy work boots but not the roper ones that have the leather type.. i got the work boots non slip and works fine. besides.. if your flat part slips... itll catch your heel and you wont have to worry about clutch jumping! haha. lots of ppl i see use cowboy boot type for trucking or maybe thats just a midwest thing.

they are the pictures of my first to current trucks. black one i bought as my first at 17,000 and gave me a good 2.5 years out of it before i got the blue 2002... which turned out a piece of s.... then got the 2003 flat top and drove that for many years... now thats sitting in my shop while im now driving the new one. have to comply with this new california law of no trucks older than 5 years of current year to meet epa requirements. Ill still use my 2003 flat top for heavy hauling to other states that doesnt require epa law. 2003 is for my heavy hauling with a c-15 6nz pushing 600 HP.

this new one is a ISX-15 525 HP and so far does 6.8 mpg which is pretty good. my flat top does 3-4 depending how high my load is and wind is blowing.

I tore the heel off them justins in a matter of 2 months so yea they weren't exactly the best boot. I dug out my old larado's from a few years ago that have the rubber sole havn't had a problem since. I don't need steel toes anymore so the regular pointed toe westerns are what's touching my pedals. I'm surprised at how well they've actually held up. the "money" in my trailer usually eats the leather away pretty bad and I've had many loads where I was to lazy to throw on my waders they're still going strong. I'm sure it's just a midwest thing I still see half the parking lot in flip flops, shorts/sweats, and a tshirt with a 4 day old ketchup stain. I guess I have a different opinion of comfortable going down the road. And I think I'd get laughed at if I crawled into a pen wearing flip flops...don't know that I'd have any toe nails left either.:biggrin_25512:

Yea the first time I see a driver in flip flops gettin in a pen its going to video mode. My boots are so old I forgot what brand they are just know what they ain't lol. The floor clutch is better for me for sure. I hope santy clause brings me a new 22 in blind mount bumper thatd be sweeeet.

lmfao yea that'll be the day right? I'm sure there's somebody out there that I may "train" someday. I'll be sure to tell him flip flops are mandatory in the pens!!! Then we'll post that up and see what kind of responses we get lol. Hazing me never!!!:biggrin_2559:

You musta been good this year if you're hoping to get a 22" drop bumper...I'll be lucky if I don't get a train car full of coal...on second thought I could sell the coal...SO IT'S A WIN WIN!!!!

Oh man it's been a good day lol. Hope all is well wore out. take care of yourself. I think that 359 would look ###### with a 22" blind mount on her for sure. I've got my eye on a custom roadworks myself. 23 2" rounds across the bottom, and 3/4" holes drilled out spelling out bullhauler in cursive for them bullseye lights. Gonna be sweet if I ever get my girl back on the road. Got something lined up in the mean time though running for a friend hauling cattle. It'll get me moving again that's the main thing.

Thats what its all about is moving again. It was rough today with out my Mom, almost pulled out for lexington twice but its back to the good side of things. That would be sweet with the bulls eye lights for sure. Shoot you get too bored holler I may have something down this way going on might could help a buddy out. We got to find somebody dumb enough to do the pens and flip flops that would truly be the s#$t.
