I got this postcard in the mail about a truck protection system called the giraffe g4. It's supposed measure the height of overhead obstacles so the trailer doesn't hit. I wanna know if it works because i would like to buy one.
I don't know. For me if I have a load that is in question the good old stick is the best way for me. I've got to know the exact clearance before I'll go under any bridge and I never take any one's word for it it.
This device sounds nice but what happens if it fails at the wrong time. You know the time when you need it the most and the time it will cost you tons of money if it's wrong. I think I'd invest in a positive, almost foolproof, mechanical system. Or better yet, go around.
