We deal with this law all the time making drops at local gas stations. There's an exception to the law when that route is the only or safest way to get to your drop point. Of course we can not take a 110,000lbs truck over a 5 ton bridge but I've gone up residential streets to get into the station. I even had a NHP try to find another way and everytime he came up with what he that was better I'd show he where he was wrong. He was very nice and we both chocked the time up to training. So you might want to go look at where you were and see if that was the only way.

Unfortunately that truck route is clearly marked and there are numerous ways to get to my delivery. I just screwed up.

I'm still waiting on how much the ticket will cost me. After that I will determine if I will hire an Attorney or not.

Dewey sorry to hear about your ticket its gonna be like 500 bucks if its your first ticket and if you just pay the fine the points will make your vehicle insurance increase by 15 bucks on your personal car don't know bout truck ins increase...also its better to be prepared I joined TVC and they are fighting a ticket for me right now in LA too my second one but since I was a member they fight it. Its important to keep your license clean now a days there ain't no breaks the state is broke.

Just be thankful the lapse of attention didn't result in a wreck rather than a ticket.
Pay it, pay more attention, and move on.

Schneider sucks ###, theyll send you too lots that are located on a route thats not legal for trucks, then expect the driver to pay it and still keep trying to send the driver there

No thread is truly dead here, it's just in a state of suspended animation. Much like my mechanic/detailer Ardis The Useless.

So you dredged up a post that is 10 years old just to bash Schneider? Good job driver!
