Not enough information to say...prices? I can tell you I like the looks of the 89 better because of the sleeper, fenders and some other minor aesthetic details. Also it's pre-ELD and I like a $3 paper logbook rather than the fancy ELD you have to pay for the service for. On the other hand the 2003 engine will probably get slightly better MPG so...

Neither of these are trucks you should buy if you need to go asking the bank for money to do it IMO. These are more "I want to and I can" type purchases.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

If you are already willing to go back to 1989 go back Atleast 2 more years and buy a real Pete …

Another Canadian driver and 201 Thank this. -
I am paying cash. No Bank. The 89 is 55k and the 03 is 90k but it comes with a 2003 East All Alum 48x102 in great condition (new tires and brakes)Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Also the 03 is a 1999 6nz. Thank god!!!! lolAnother Canadian driver Thanks this.

Probably the 03 and trailer then...didn't read the part about the trailer being included but that sounds like a pretty fair deal for both if the trailer fits your needs. Just be prepared to explain the ELD thing to every DOT guy who looks at the truck and sees 2003 on the VIN plate.
89 is more of a 2nd/nice weather truck for a guy who already has a truck and trailer and has the money to drop on a restored dream ride.Another Canadian driver and Oxbow Thank this. -
'89 just right and cheaper
'03 ditch the lighted bumper, the roof wing, the checkered flag garbage on the hood, the sleeper roof marker lights, the "is there anyone listening to me" cb antennas, the chromed out windshield trim. Also, not a big fan of the aftermarket fenders.Another Canadian driver, pete781693 and Oxbow Thank this. -
Um, that '89, it doesn't happen to have the words "Kathys Nightmare" on the back of the sleeper, does it? A good friend of mine years ago had a flat top just like that. He did 3 Green Bay/ Cal. runs a month( wanted me to do a 4th,,,no thanks). Did that for years, the truck never failed. Might be some minor electrics with the 379, but you'll love it, I all but guarantee it.Another Canadian driver, pete781693 and Oxbow Thank this.
