It has a Maxxforce 11 2011 model. 390 hp. I had run it very low on fuel and was afraid that I had sucked trash into fuel filters. I changed both filter and tried to prime with hand primer. It never really gets hard meaning the pump doesn’t get real hard like it has on my other trucks. It gets harder , but never so hard it’s hard to push down. Anyway I was convinced it was the HPFP because it had been making a noise that I’ll describe as a rattle from that area of the engine that I’d never heard before all morning before it quit. So I went and bought a new HPFP. It will finally start but is very hard to start and runs just a few seconds before shutting off. Service Maxx is show fuel delivery pressure at 97 psi and like 17 or 18k of fuel rail pressure. I took off the fuel lines and blew them out and tried priming it again. Same story every time. I’m completely lost for direction now. Please help. Thanks
Truck shut down going down the road

Sorry for the delay. I had some time off with some holidays. Is the engine maintaining the fuel pressures when it is dying? Any codes? If the fuel pressure is remaining stable when it dies, I would say your fuel is ok. Was it running ok before this happened?
