hello do you have a list or number to call to find a ZEP distributor in my area
-
1-877-428-9937 is the number on their web site.
You can buy Zep products at Grainger stores too!
I still have some at home, pink powder, we used to get it in fiber drums. Takes about 1/2 of a shot glass in a bucket of water to wash my pickup...Don2WS Thanks this. -
I have 9 all aluminum Benson flats, we were too busy to have the gopher acid them at the shop so we paid to have streakin' beacon do them. Horrible job, I've never seen so many streaks on a frame-rail. Needless to say, they won't be getting anymore of my fleet's business.Giggles the Original Thanks this.

If I find a product that works well, but costs a small fortune. I will find the MSDS for that product, find the active ingredient/s, and then find a similar product with same active ingredients for less $$$

A lot of it is in the water and how you rinse it. Here at the farm, the water is really hard/limey. If you pressure wash it, especially with heat, and don't get the windows wiped off immediately you have to go after the windows with lime-away. Most times if I need just a basic wash I'll take it somewhere and have it done or go to a DIY carwash with a spot-free rinse.

I'd of had them use the Citri Shine instead.

We have a full service wash bay at our shop, but just didn't have the time or help to do it there. That was the only time we've ever used BB for our company equipment so I wouldn't even have known to ask about this "citri shine" product.

This is a great way to wash if you have polished aluminum to clean as well as a normal painted cab and trailer, you can two step (high acid solution followed behind with high alkaline soap). You first spray a section down with the acid solution, bottom to top, then after just a few minutes switch over and spray on the alkaline soap. Don't let the acid solution dry or completely run off before the other soap is applied. Also from bottom up and then just rinse off from the top down with water. You should not have to really brush at all. The postive then negative molecular bond lets the dirt just fall off the surfaces. The acid cleans the aluminum and then the alkaline (or base soap) will clean the rest but since the high pH's of each product balance each other out, the alkaline will not fog up the polished aluminum, as long as you don't over wash with the alkaline so you have no acid solution left on the aluminum before application. It also leaves you with a near neutral waste water that will not be a problem soaking into the ground. You still should not let wash water in to a strom drain because of the oils and debris you are washing off your rig.

hmmm, that sounds like a workable program. BTW, since the alkaline solution is high PH and the acid solution low PH, I suspect that you meant to say "but since the extreme PH's of each product balance each other out......"
