    You dont need deep gearing to run the lightweight stuff you do. The Volvo I ran had 2.79s iirc. It made it so the truck could run in 8th direct @ 68mph and still have 8th over. I personally didnt like gearing that high, Id rather some something like 3.36's and a taller tire (they turn less rpm and run cooler).
