What is up with some of these truck stops these days. Their prices are highway robber. Isnt there laws to stop price gouging. I mean really I stopped at a TA a Flying J and a Pilot all wanted 2 dollars a page to fax out. Found another right across the road in LIMA OH that faxed for 1.00 a page....These Mega Truck stops are ripping off drivers and owner Ops off of their hard earned money. I am asking for everyone to take a few minutes a day and call the corporate offices and complain about their out of control pricing....

You have wireless internet with you? If so use Smartfax.com they been ok for me for seven years.
Just bought a new truck scanner printer the cannon one thats less than 40 dollars. -
Take a good clear, straight, picture of your BOL with your smartphone and then email it to your office, should work if you have a signal, also there are some app's out there, I think Gmail has one.
Studebaker Hawk Thanks this. -
it's your own fault for using truckstops.
there are TONS of internet applications that can be used on your laptop. all you need is internet, laptop, and printer/scanner.
i pay $7 a month for ringcentral. allows me 700 faxes a month. (lowest priced) there's higher packages. you download the software to your laptop. and use your printer/scanner. works just like an actual fax phone. as long as you have internet signal.
there's also an app on your phone.
so while your paying $2 PER fax. i'm paying ONE PENNY.
email applications don't work very good. i saw the quality on company issued phones. my fax quality kicked the company phones butt. it's better then even kinkos -
I use an hp1056 scanner/printer. I can scan my bills etc as soon as they hand em to me.. Some days, we get paid before I can even turn in the originals.
I use doPDF for printing my documents to pdf files to email them.CondoCruiser Thanks this. -
Prices vary a lot. I know one place that charges 25¢, some $2.00 a page, some charge more for the first page.
I've been to a couple of kwik trip's that don't charge anything if you're faxing to a toll free number.
I remember having to fax 8 or 10 pages at a J one time. The girl did each page separately, putting in the phone number each time. She seemed pretty confident there was no way to send more than one page at a time

I grab the Challenge magazine at Pilot because there is usually a coupon for a free one page fax in there.
