Truck stop polishers

Read the post better rookie point was not everybody is out to screw you there's people who are down on their luck and are just looking for a break.

 

10-4. Truckers tend to be a soft touch, because many have been there, but of course some forget, and many seem to forget somewhere between the truck and those truck stop chapels.

 

There not real smart, just real good. I make fun of no one that don't need it. When someone sits in the sun all day with a buffer in there hand making things look like a mirror. The folks do the best they can. Seen white paint so shiny it's hard to look at in the sun. Requires a different buffer though. Show Cars mostly.

Maria was a wonderful fine Woman. She never complained, we loved her. Wife even liked her. She worked as hard as a Man. She could not have kids. She was a Wonderful Woman. Independent. We took her Poodle, with us till she passed on. We called her Baby. Maria had a name for her we could not pronounce, got as close as we could. She understood. She would rub her nose on my right arm when she needed to go potty. Most of the time my right arm is on the shifter. Just a habit. She is home now, hope she is with our friend. Maria was about 5'5, about 350/ big girl.

 

Only reason I share these things is to let everyone know, there are Human Beings pushing these huge trucks to wherever they need to go. We are not machines. Most people don't know that. Pieces of my wonderful, and hard life. A live well lived. When people ask what I do, I'm a Trucker. You would be necked on the floor without me. Oh sorry, no floor, We brought that too!!!

 

Sometimes I turn it loose. The other feeling I have is, BMW, Sir, or Mom. Go get it yourself. Let me know how it works for you. Sometimes I enjoy it too much. Complain how I jam up traffic on the freeway. Complain how your 3 seconds late. You don't complain when your car is upside down in a ditch & I am risking My life running across a frozen highway with a blanket. You don't complain that I have a razor sharp knife when I cut the seat belt & pulled your drunk Son out of his burning car. The Cops & Fire Department are minutes away. Sometimes I turn it loose. You get to hold him because I cared enough to risk Me & stopped. It's My job, I'm a Trucker.

 

Saddletramp... that was an awesome post and good thing to share... I know myself, I feel fortunate for all that I have in my life.. I dont take it for granted... so, when I can I help others.. it helps me believe that if I need help there will be caring people to help...

The way I look at... if my intention is to be kind and helpful... and someone scams me with a hard luck story.. my intentions were good and I till get the good karma or blessings or whatever you are comfortable with.. and, when I help someone and it is not a scam and it realky did help them.. I am even more grateful that I had the money, food and heart to do so...
