We used to, and I mean used to pick up new Hyundai trailers manufactured in Mexico, loaded with big screen TV's manufactured in Mexico and brought to Otey Mesa CA(San Diego). Everybody and God knew what was on those trailers. Our instructions were to pick them up with a full fuel tank and hours, don't stop for at least 150 miles (AZ) and immediately call if suspicious vehicles were in the area. Did it once. Not even close to worth what we were being paid.
Whenever I pass thru or near Birmingham, Alabama I get this message-and I’m sure all the other company drivers do as well!lol
I've had to spend the night in Selma once. It's about as close to a Third world country as the U.S. gets.
Well there are some parts of “Scary Gary” where I’d swear the night crawlers are trying to look into your soul!!
I know when my car hauler is loaded with high value cars I never say a word to anyone about what’s on my decks. And I never tell them in the scale what I’m hauling either. I just pretend they are all Yugos and Chrysler K cars. It must be working because so far I haven’t had any issues with my load being stolen.
