Some are clean some aren't! Truck stops are built where they can make money usually on highly traveled trucking routes. Wouldn't make a lot of sense to put one at the beach! You'll discover what truck stops you like and which ones you don't once you have toured around a bit. For showers I prefer the J's! Parking and eating I prefer the mom and pops. Good food and usually nice and quiet.

stop by any pilot,T/A, Jubitz and so on. check em out some are better then others but generally clean depending on your personal standards lol. Yes they are usually built near major interstates

i wouldn't suggest Pilots/ Flying J's I would suggest he visit Bosslemans,,, which only has pilot fuel. Store still owned by familyTrekker Thanks this.

Hey Trekker! I saw you put that you live in Inwood, NY. is that the Inwood I am from?! Upper Manahattan?! I was on Dyckman and Academy. Never saw anyone with that as where they are from!

I fuel and shower at pilot/flying j because my company requires that I fuel there. I prefer to sleep at mom and pops or rest areas.
