I parked at this truck stop yesterday morning waiting on a shipper to open today. Did my safety inspection everything was fine. Went to pull out of my spot released the parking brake, and the truck will not move like the brakes are locked up but they are not locked up. I mean the truck will not even roll forward and I'm parked on a downhill slope. If it's not the brakes what is it?

If I understand the situation correctly your rig will not roll forward once you release the brake? My best guess is somewhere on your rig there is a stuck brake. This tends to happen when brakes freeze or are stopped so long a film of rust develops. I HIGHLY suggest you contact your company and let them get it fixed.

Did you find the problem yet? Sometimes it takes a minute for an older trailer to release its brakes. If you're pulling an older trailer.

Did it rain where you were?

had a truck that the driver came off the road with very hit brakes, set them and it rained hard which the shoes bonded to the drums because they were wet,

Now I'm at the shipper and they have no idea if my load is ready or where it's at how do you lose a whole trailer full of Kenworth engines

Block a wheel. Get a hammer. Hit the drums. If they don't ring that brake is hung. Next.

Well I think the first test would have been to put it in low gear and drag the break defined out if it is the brakes or powertrain . We were not given much information it is pretty easy to tell if your truck is tugging and if it is not

Have you considered hiring a professional driver?
