I have not checked for a blockage. Weak starter has been suggested and shot down during this.

Can you tell me which hose I have to remove to do a fuel pressure test?
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
So your thinking of a rebuild idk maybe 20,000. I know you're tired of hearing this but I mean at this point get the starter rebuilt, I'm just trying to help you out and save you a lot of money. I think mine was around 200-250. That truck needs to be running first to find out what's going on.
Gix1k and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Is it smoking when cranking???
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
White smoke on cold start on 1LW is totally normal.
Gix1k, Rideandrepair and AModelCat Thank this. -
Rideandrepair and lwlevens Thank this.

How much will you pay if I take 100% risk and buy the starter myself and come down and get it running? You seem to be pretty eager to jump into a $20K rebuild so for a $2K payout I am willing to take the risk.

Sounds like a good deal. He's got nothing to lose!!!!!!

What kind of either are you using? As I said before some either is pretty dang weak. You can tell it did try to fire just a little bit in that last video. I think it's cranking better but still a little bit slow. Before throwing a starter or a rebuilding the dang engine just get the truck aired up and PULL START IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you drag it around for a couple blocks and it still won't start then we know For sure you got bigger problems.
I do believe your engine may be low on compression but that wouldn't explain it starting fine for weeks and then not starting the next. You can't tell if a truck needs a rebuild without it running or just tearing the engine down and looking at the internals. You definitely can't tell by hooking it to a computer That rebuild price of 4k just for labor is miss leading I think. You are going to end up with a lot more incidental cost with that. Do you still have that rebuild kit when you bought the truck?
Get your fuel pressure gauge hooked up. I don't know exactly where to hook it in but there should be a test port on your fuel filter housing. Hook that up and check fuel pressure. Leave the gauge hooked up and put it somewhere you can see it with the hood closed. Air the truck up and pull it.
This is getting ridiculous, I think I'm more frustrated than you are. I don't want to even open this thread anymore but I have to see how it ends!Gix1k, Rideandrepair, AModelCat and 1 other person Thank this. -
But on the other hand I think I would just throw a starter on it, pretty cheap compared to rebuilding the engine or loosing weeks of down time
