Truck Worth it?

Nice looking truck, have to agree if all is on the up and up and you like it get it. Maybe I will if you don't!

 

I went to truckpaper.com. If you want a w9, and who doesn't, that looks to be the going price for under 850,000.

 

30k hours is pushing it if its never been rebuilt. Even at 20-22k hours on a couple C-12's and C-15's I've seen was probably the limit. Just running at 1300 RPM in the yard you could see a haze of blue smoke rolling out the pipes.

 

+1 on a lot of idling. When I bought my T600 with MXS, it had 622k with 12.9k hrs. It had an apu on it, apparently since new. Now at 932k and just turned 20k hours.

Take the vin and engine number to KW and CAT. Maybe you get lucky and learn it had major work done early in it's life, extending the time until the in-frame you have to pay for.

I got 34000 hrs on my 03 C12 and 750,888 as of today it runs great. No smoke unless I gun it.. It's a great motor..
