    I remember automatic transmissions on big trucks 20 years ago when computer processors were a lot slower. It was a nightmare. As computers get faster the technology does improve. The technology has more to improve in order to mimic a very good driver in all conditions. I know for a fact that large companies want automatic transmissions because it greatly lowers maintenance and breakdowns of transmissions caused by drivers that don't know how to shift. If you can't find them, grind them.
