No you didn't. Nothing you said was in direct response to the question I posed.

    I don't know, I can't read his mind.

For 30 years he operated within the rules.

So there is no valid reason for an exemption now.

If he hauls ag currently then he already has what he wants.

So now you admit that he didn't violate the rules.

The fact that he was able to operate safely for 30 years under an ever-changing scheme of HOS regulations proves that he is a safe operator, thus he should be granted an exemption.

The ones who should not be granted exemptions are the ones with a demonstrated pattern of HOS violations and/or collisions where CMV driver fatigue was listed as a contributing factor.

They can’t set president by allowing one person an exemption.

If he operated within the rules for 30 years then he is accustom to them and would not need an exeption.

    It's all about the ELD.

With 3 paper log books he had his exception.

Clearly this driver was cheating HOS rules for 30 years.

One of these days folks will wake up and understand that the only way to combat regulations is do exactly what this guy did. Imagine the paperwork the gooberment would have to do if every driver started submitting request of any sort, to every agency.

Just imagine millions of requests delivered everyday to Washington DC to fix the roads, add rest areas, etc…

Not sure how long he’s been leased to D&E, but they’re a conestoga company. So either he’s new there and found out he had to log everything pretty straight or he got told he can no longer loosely interpret the ag exemption and whatever else he was doing.

They would just change the rules and the comment periods and notice of proposed rules would simply go away.
