It took quite a while to live it down with the dot in Texas, for probably 3 years anytime I went through an inspection, I would be asked if I was the one whose truck caught on fire, as soon as they looked at my license. lol
Flat Earth Trucker and Tx Countryboy Thank this. -
My buddys high dollar pretty much show truck burnt to the ground sitting right here this morning. One of the best looking rigs in Alaska.
-
Thats bad.
-
What happened??
-
Something apparently shorted out under the hood, he had just cranked it and backed it far enough out odf the shop to back his pickup in to unload a herd moose bumper I had given him, and left it idling for like 10 minutes.
-
That sucks.

Big time, no insurance.
It royally sucks for him, but if I can get settled with the insurance co on mine, every part I need to put it back together is right there. I tried to just buy the whole thing, but I think he is giving the engine to his FIL.
I was sitting here drinking coffee and playing on the computer and didn't even hear the fire dept, my boss called and ask what caused the fire and she said it looked like his truck, at that instant he walked in the door, so I ask him, he just said look outside. wow.
It can not really be replaced anyway, it was the last year you could get a flat window, true flat top W900, with a C16 with retarder and 18, 310 wheel base on neway suspension, just a beautiful truck, full lockers and dual steering boxes too. -
Looks like surviving W900s and Cat engines just became more valuable.
-
No doubt, but it sure sucks. This truck has been babied all it's life, and kept in perfect shape and shining, if it went to town and back it got washed, before going back in the shop.
