In Gaffney SC off I 85 there is a Quicktrip Truck Stop. Fuel is 2.19 a gallon today. Next door is a Bob's BBQ. They have a place for a truck to pull up. There is a sign there with their number and they will bring the food to you like it is a drive in. You will also find lots of parking and can go in and sit down.

In Georgia, there is a BBQ place that has its own overnight parking near a Flying J. It is South of Macon. I stop there but do not remember the name.

Of course real BBQ is only found in Kansas City. My favorite there is Rosedale, BBQ. It is on the Kansas side 600 Southwest Boulevard, Kansas City, KS 66103. You can park in front of the place on the street. Wonderful food.

Now because Kansas City is my home let me point on one other place. Not BBQ but it is good food for the truck. Art's Mexican. They make the best tamales. They are fresh or frozen and keep well in the fridge or cooler. Microwave makes them good eats. They are sold in a little grocery like store. I have been a customer for 40 plus years. 615 Kansas Avenue,Kansas City, KS 66105

    Enjoy

And they also have the best banana pudding. Buy some to take with you. Helps also to have some extra 'nilla wafers to go with it.

The brisket and the ribs there are bangin! Also you have Buckner's on the other side of the Pilot. A little pricy but really good honestly country cooking.

Thanks for all the responses. Will definitely be making my rounds to these joints.
I remember back in the early years of 2000, when I first started driving, there was always a driver that had a grill on their truck, and on the weekends, drivers would get together, put in a couple of dollars each, and have a cookout in the truck stop parking lots. Lot of good times, what ever happened to those days?

Go to the TA or Petro in Ontario, or the J in SLC on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when the weather is nice. Lots of other select trucks stops here and there will see truckers on the back row with a grill, but often these seem to be "special truckers" of their own little clique.

Used to be a little hole in the wall down the street from my work. I always left for my 1st run as he was firing up the smokers. By the time I got back the smell almost drove me crazy as I went by.

No truck parking, but the strip club next door was closed til evening and had a nice big lot. The district manager finally forbade me from eating there when in a company vehicle because he got tired of people calling to tell him one of his drivers was hanging out at the ##### bar.
