That is great that you have wifi on your truck. Can you explain how, and if integrating that with the gps for weather uses much of your data plan? If so do you connect intermittently only, and not constantly?
I have hotspot on my smartphone but with 6gigs monthly limit.
    Thanks in advance!

I only connect intermittently on my 720 but i dont think it uses tons. It runs kinda slow with the weather on, so i turn it off after i get a look at it.

Milinicom has a 20gb plan on the verizion network for 70/month. Thats what i use for data. Same service as buying from verizion, but a bit cheaper.

Wow that Milinicom deal sounds sweet. Thanks for that info. My two year Verizon contract is up in a couple months, just about the time I should be getting out of my trainer's truck. Many thanks Richter.

http://millenicom.com/ I spelled it wrong. Its great service to. I'm OTR and there has never been any ware that it did not get some service. I've driven back roads of wv, colorado, deserts in az all through tx....it gets something every ware. Normally its 4g and fast enough to stream netflix. I've had a few places where my verizon cell didn't get service, but the verizion milinicom box did. At least I could email people.

I use a Verizon wifi unit that will run 5 devices at once, not sure of the name off hand but its a red/black box about the size of a billfold, I pay $35 a month and have never ran out of data, I also use it at night to run my iphone's wifi and a hdmi adapter connected to my tv

You prob have a 6gb plan. If you dont watch tons of netflix u will be ok. The http://millenicom.com/ one is 20gb for 70. That same plan direct through Verizon is 110. so 40 bucks off for the same service. no if you dont need 20 gb, then its a waste.
