That is great that you have wifi on your truck. Can you explain how, and if integrating that with the gps for weather uses much of your data plan? If so do you connect intermittently only, and not constantly?
I have hotspot on my smartphone but with 6gigs monthly limit.

Milinicom has a 20gb plan on the verizion network for 70/month. Thats what i use for data. Same service as buying from verizion, but a bit cheaper.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -

I use a Verizon wifi unit that will run 5 devices at once, not sure of the name off hand but its a red/black box about the size of a billfold, I pay $35 a month and have never ran out of data, I also use it at night to run my iphone's wifi and a hdmi adapter connected to my tv

I use garmin only for speed limits. For showing direction it is useless
