I would also recommend that you look into the past threads about everything and anything.

Myself, I think that it is important that new drivers look at this career as a brotherhood, like it used to be. Do things like flash your markers to say thank you and move to the right (if and when it is safe) when you see a faster truck approaching from behind. Hopefully, if you are willing to lend a helping hand, someone will do the same for you. We need to get back to a time where truckers stick together and extend more courtesies to one another. Look for some threads on the way it used to be.

This site is like a massive research library for trucking. You'll find answers to questions you would never think to ask. You will learn things that you never knew existed. Some guys are crybabies and some tell tall tales. You'll read stuff that will make you laugh your ### off! This business is what YOU make it to be.

Good luck, and go get started on your research. And don't be afraid to ask questions.

Oh yeah, I spent the whole weekend digging through this site I'm so glad I found it, it has already been tremendously helpful. And as I may be new to trucking I am not new to the road, and that helps a lot especially when it come to the brotherhood of trucking and knowing how to treat people the way you want to be treated on the road and in life. -Mondo

    Mondo, that's awesome!

I also wanted to remind you that the hours of service rules changed last year, so if you are reading older posts, that information is not correct. Be safe, brother.

    MondoTrucker Thanks this.
