Buy an old clunker and get your loose leaf log sheets.

I’d hate to spend 10 hours in one of those uninsulatef tin can sleepers that you can’t stand up in

Had one of those Super Billy Big Rigger Getter Done Truckers haul past me today in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Slicker than Eel snot and a 40mph cross wind.. near white out conditions.
I was easing at 35 and questioning whether I should have stopped in Buffalo, or not, and Captain Pavement Pounder rips past me and the Bendix registers him at 69 when he crosses back in front.

That's the one. May not be today. Maybe not tomorrow.
But, he'll be holding us all up while they winch him out of a knot someday soon.

Yep. If you can't see, you can't see. Slow down.. Fog, blowing snow..blah blah. I dealt with freezing fog yesterday. Couldn't see crap and slicker than snot. Some drivers just kept hammering...do they have a special vision secret that I don't?

This is the reason why you slow down on low visibility conditions. You never know what kind of cluster*f is waiting for you up the road. When I saw those cops drive by with lights on I got a big yuuuuge hint that there was something going on up the road.

    1) this is only one of a few reasons why i do believe the flashing lights on emergency vehicles are so darn bright, compared to the old incandescent light bulbs.

    2) but in spite of the super bright lights, even the cop crashed as well. but let's face it, he WAS responding to an emergency...

    3) what was the dumb truckers excuse for driving too fast for conditions.?? as to so-called professional, he should have KNOWN BETTER to drive fast. this is what irks me, when some drivers claim that they are "used to" bad weather driving.

    4) that dash cam of his, can actually be used against him, rather than exonerate him from any wrongdoing. it can be used to estimate his road speed, by the lab.

But you don't know if that cluster is 500 yards or 25 miles down the road in that. I find it funny nobody has anything to say about the officers who nearly hit the vehicles in the middle of the highway.

I believe the truck was moving right along at a good clip. The cops seemed to blow by as he was getting on the highway. They appeared to crash soon after they went by. The truck wasn't many seconds behind the cops in crashing. jmo
