I'm sure there would have been another video... I wouldn't have unlocked mine. Its contents are my personal effects (photos, papers in digital format, correspondence, and so on), it's locked and encrypted for a reason. Absent a warrant/court order, I will not unlock it. Thus far I haven't been asked.

    Exactly.
'Yes, sir'; 'No, sir'. And we're gone in 20 minutes.

    I don't think I would either,
I've noticed a lot of elog systems that plug into the ecm port and Bluethooths to the driver's phone or tablet.
    It'll be interesting to watch

Those e-log systems are best served with a tablet equipped with a GPS chip and a network connection. Cheaper than a phone, and don't have to worry about fishing expeditions through your personal stuff. Separation is key...compartmentalize tasks and don't mix business with personal information. Who wants to hand their personal phone to an officer to take back to their vehicle for purposes of examining e-logs? Not I! They can take the cheap, easily replaced tablet that doesn't contain any personal or proprietary business information.

Years ago there was a female DOT Officer (PUCO)that used to work the rest areas on US 33 around Columbus doing truck inspections. She had a whistle, and she would creeper under your truck, and when she blew it,that was your signal to step on the brakes.Very efficient I thought.I've always been part deaf from misspent youth with straight pipes, loud drag cars, nitro methane noise, etc.,but I could always hear that whistle.

We give up certain rights when operating a commercial vehicle as opposed to a private vehicle.

    "WE"?

Speak for yourself. I for one know better than to mouth off to the law in this fashion in the name of seeking youtube "fame".
