i think many of them will just put up bullet proof glass and gated entry ways.

not too many people can recall, but i can...back in the day, when DAC was first initiated, drivers could just walk in to talk to someone.

i cannot say for sure, but a driver walked in with a gun..i don't think he shot anyone.

that ended the free walking in at DAC headquarters in Oklahoma...

they installed bullet proof glass, doors, and you had to be "buzzed in"...then later, they just denied entry to anyone except employee's

made some news, back in the day.

Yes you can blame the guy. After 27 yrs. on the job, he should have developed better self discipline. If he lost it and killed someone over such a petty issue, image how he handled arrestees who gave him a hard time. I’ll tell you from personal experience that police officers cringe when a story like this breaks because it re-enforces negative perceptions of police officers. Just like truck drivers, it only takes a relative few to cast a bad opinion of the entire profession.
