Moronic Canadian drivers flash their HIGHBEAMS to let ya around:biggrin_2555: Guess thay never heard of R E F L E C T I O N....now Im seeing spots, weaving, regaining halos(thought I had glaucoma)....bad idea...I vote for a QUICK flick of the button....we all know when its clear, but its nice to know to get over fast when a 80mph Greyhounds coming....THAT NEVER GETS PULLED OVER....dunno could be wrong....last i checked they're carrying up to 66 people full but Heaven forbid we would kill a family of 4 but they only could wipe out an entire generation.

"Mallet Pound"..Ethics Committee now In Session.

1 - When fueling up PLEASE stop popping your hood, putting 4-ways on, and go in to take a shower, or shop subway, or play with the ATM, or or or....you could be the FIRST driver to drown in a shower in American History.

2 - Warn drivers behind you that you got 10 pages of Faxes and all he has is a Pepsi.

3 - Have some couth, when a female gets on the CB, stop harassing them, wait till you stop. They know what kinda anatomy you have or WISH you had.

4 - When a drivers on the side with 4ways on,move over, they just MIGHT have a REAL problem(not getting their zipper down to take a leak with those gloves on DONT qualify).

5 - When a shipper says "Door 52 driver", DONT go to 53 and act like you cant distinguish the difference.

6 - When coming out of a chicken coup STOP flying at the speed of light, we see you, but getting over CAN be a problem RATHER we slow down or not, YIELD means JUST what it implies.

Leave the bathroom clean. You may not be using it again, but others have to use it after you and we don't want to clean up your mess for you.

If you have a dog that barks at anything that moves, please keep your windows rolled up. Some of us are trying to sleep, and we don't all find your yapping little furball "cute".

Please refrain from passing me when we are in a construction zone with narrow lanes and cement barriers. I am going the speed limit. That speed limit is the safe speed for that construction zone. If you blast through, you are probably out of control and will have difficulty staying in your own lane and I have nowhere to go to avoid being sideswiped by you.

Lastly, I want to second the driver who asked others not to flash their brights. I rarely see this from truckers, it's usually four-wheelers doing it, but I'll second it anyway.

1nonly, I too 2nd the motion on your "construction barrier" comment BUT, all newbies should understand JUST because the posted construction speed limits are what they are DOESNT mean THOSE are safe limits. Youd be surprised(or not), where did they come up with those limits. If its 50 and you do 40 SOWHAT, YOU the driver determine whats safe and what aint. Sometimes it makes you wonder WHO comes up with them, just shut your CB off and drive safely. ONLY, YOU know if your loads a "high center of gravity load" and ONE wrong move could mean disaster.

    Agreed.

I think it really falls down to genuinely caring about people. Treating them as we would want to be treated ourselves.

We have such a massive network. It really seems if we banned together we could get so much done.

    pipe dreams?

Bill TIR, that is what I was going to say: Treat others as you would have them treat you.

No, I don't think it is a pipe dream. I did wonder if I was being naive for thinking we could fix things, but I really do believe if enough people tried, it could be done. Since trucking is such a massive network, involving so many opinions and attitudes, the change would be slow to occur. But, at least we would be making a difference.

Question concerning the flashing of brights... Do you guys hate it when a driver does it both during the day and at night or only at night?

I ask because I actually prefer some one to briefly (on/off - on/off) flash their brights at me during the day light. I obviously don't care for it at night and don't do that myself so I was just wondering.

62 mile per hour trucks should not be out in the left lane, especially if they are trying to pass another 62 mph truck! Slower traffic keep right!

Of course it's obvious that you don't need to be able to read, or even read English lately!
