1.Shippers and receivers who can’t load a reefer or dry van in a timely manner (1 hour or less)-especially if said locations are in an area where there is little or no truck parking available or allowed(Central Florida comes to mind).
2.4-wheelers,box trucks and some big trucks who fly past me at 70+ mph and can’t keep their vehicle in their MUTHA F’N LANE!!
3. Truck stops that try to rape drivers on parking when we spend money in said truck stop on food/fuel,etc.(and half the time said food/fuel is overpriced).
4.Truck stops that can’t keep the friggin beggars or lot lizards from knocking on my truck.
#nosleeperleapers
5.Snot nosed brats in the dispatch office who are absolutely CLUELESS as to how many variables there are in operating a semi tractor trailer(how much weight, fuel, distance to destination, traffic and weather conditions,etc.).
There’s more I could think of but I’m too #### tired right now...

1) Favoritism.
2) Idiots that slow down only to floor it when you go to pass them.
3) Idiots that buy furniture off the Internet.
4) Idiots that can’t even spell “CB” let alone figure out how to use one, because we have “apps” for that now.
5) Idiots that either can’t or choose not to read signs. -
I'll add to the number 4. Those who are the same sex after the new generation are taught equality, acceptance and so on. U G H. ew. Makes me wanna punch em. God knows they are light enough in weight not to take that kind of hit very well.
I'll add to number 5l; Dispatchers who will fully fail to act on information provided by me, the professional driver who sees a problem that will affect appointment time.
You have to absolutely deliberately pretty much just be ignored, end up breaking Appt time, get branded by same dispatcher with a service failure. Haul same into the VP's operations office, spread documented phone calls, qualcomm messages with digit number stamps and time sent on down to what the dispatcher said on tape off the phone recording. And pretty much prosecute the idiot dispatcher in his or her corkscrews or negligence.
This is after the company leadership had been briefed by idiot dispatcher in such a light as they made a decision to fire you already.
THAT is after the YELLING with threats, profanity and so on is heaped on me, who started communicating one or two days prior to this being a formal problem involving people over money that will come out of the company pocket now.
All of this Heavy lifting is BS and needs to stop. Driver says something or even better, have authority to make phone calls to the correct people directly to fix it if the stupid idiot dispatcher cannot be bothered to do it at 10 to 4PM on a freaking friday PM.mjd4277 Thanks this. -

Great attitude & perspective! I applaud you Trucking.Shine! Just under 2 years ago, I had zero experience with trucking but have been an entrepreneur for 35 years. Since then, I’ve built three of the nicest buildings in the industry that were each designed to give drivers a much better experience when using a terminal. Now, I’m launching a program to build a national network of them. All in the spirit of creating a better life on the road for each of you. More often than not, industries evolve and improve because of fresh perspective from non-industry entrepreneurs that know how to blend ideas and concepts from other successful applications. It’s generally better, and easier, to embrace than criticize.trucking.shine Thanks this.
