Willing to bet there is a “they flew me to orientation only to not hire me, and made me pay my own way home” thread in you future.

An employer is required to offer a reasonable accommodation. A service dog is not necessarily a reasonable request.

You have to prove they didn't hire you because of it. I doubt that they will say it.

However, even with federal law, there is a problem with animals in trucks when there are specific jobs that the company handles - Hazmat is one such thing. Another is if they have customers who forbid animals on their property, which is also not against the law; you are a service provider, not an employee of said customer.

Wait til he finds out that they don’t have to give you access to a restroom because they’re not a business open to the public.

No offense to the OP, but it appears we have our quarterly "the trucking industry is going to have to change to suit my personal needs" posts. They come with high ideals, then find out it doesn't work that way and they fade into the background. The first thing the OP should check is their need for a service animal might also be on the list of disqualifiers to obtaining a CDL.

Lets see, first it was a pet in the original post, then it was a service animal, only has had the animal for 8 months. then the OP decided to sue people, and spent some time investigating the ADA laws. Probably on the web, thats known for accuracy….

Been dealing with the legalities of the ADA for 30 plus years.
    Probably just a troll, anyway.
