Go for it man! If you go with the mega-carriers they are going to make you take an expensive refresher course. I personally recommend you try for the smaller companies. They won't usually make you take a refresher course. Try Craigslist and also here is another site that will help you find the smaller companies.

    Good luck man...

Hah, yeah Cobra, I was just making light of the difference between the FAA section DOT and the uh.. other DOT, lol. And some of the cool things you could legally do on the ten hour mandated off duty time. And I haven't brought up what you could legally do if you flew to amsterdam.

And I forgot to mention, you could also fill up your little red wagon with cases of beer and scotch, drag it out to your airplane where the pax can crack'm open and go to it ,, all while the head of the DOT and national security are standing there watching -- whether you're in a C150 or that French contraption :-D (don't get caught with an unopened 6 pack in that truck)

BUt of course those nice cushy FAA honor system rules are more set up for the ones who the FAA rules mostly apply to -- those who write laws to keep us heathen truckers under control, or design the bridges we drive over, or determine if we're healthy enough to drive a truck.

Yeah all I hear are bad things from truckers, but I mostly see good things. In fact even today didn't go so well, had product rejected due to expiration, and I bet another trucker would be crying and cursing up a storm about that, but I just went into my sleeper and began enjoying some movies on Netflix until the problem gets resolved. I think a lot of guys went into trucking out of high school and think that there is a high paying job out there that is perfect without any problems. Since they never got a chance to have a job like that, they think that trucking is the worse thing ever. I worked so many REALLY bad jobs and that toughened me up so I love trucking.
