I'm trying to find out if any of the trucking headsets that you get at truck stops allow you to play music when you're not on the phone

The Blue Parrot XT350 does. But I have returned mine 3 times for issues. 1, was the sound, and twice it broke on the tip of the base where the band slides in and out for adjustment. It’s an excellent Bluetooth device but personally, there quality has gone downhill. There XT 250 was the best. Never had any issues with that one. Btw, when you send it back for a warranty claim, they send you a new one each time.

I never tried or use any it as that. I know the 350 does. And the 350 you can pair 2 devices. The 450 are like headphones and is made for music and phone. Look it up. “Blue Parrot”

Any Bluetooth headset will play what ever audio is active at the time, phone, music , podcasts, audiobooks, YouTube videos, all come through the headset.

AlmostSuperman and Diesel Dave Thank this.

The XT250 is garbage. I've been through three of them in two years, the sound quality goes to crap after a while. It starts sounding garbled, like a sci fi robot voice going bad or something.

That’s why I figured the 350 would work better since it was an upgrade. My 250 lasted. But the sound did get like you described

Correction. I meant that the 350 is junk, that's the one I have. I was a generation off, because while the 350 does play music if you want it to, it's the 450 that has a model that is actually designed to play music well.

It sucks to hear the 250 has the same problem, I had heard good things about them and was thinking about going backwards and getting one of them when one of these goes out outside of the warranty. It's unfortunate, too, that the quality is so poor on these things, because when they are working properly, the sound quality and noise cancellation is second to none.

I use the 250 every day for hands-free phone. Never a problem.
Be running and road noise ask people if they can hear ok; they say its like I'm right there.
You hear the loud diesel engine?
    not at all.
    Good noise Cancellation circuitry.

Bought a Cobra 29 LX BT for the Bluetooth feature also; really good CB
and I get my phone thru it with the Bluetooth feature. Also quiet as a Church.
