I’m guessing that 2 calls from Czechia can’t be on the level?

    I don’t know anyone there…….

Just in case they have to hit 60’ with a 28’ end dump some day. How much you want to bet they don’t even know what those long wheelbase trucks were for.

This kind of poles wont work here, no way inspection will ever let you with them. Needs to be crtified. Look at renault in background....

A week ago I was at ELMIA truck fair. The five main contenders in Sweden are shown here.

A Scania 6x2 test Electric "25P" truck, 300 kWh batteri, power was a secret. Gross weight 68 metric tons.

I still say you can't beat the old school 5 axle Canadian west coast logging trucks.

I was traveling by car in Alberta, British Columbia and Vancouver Island four or five years ago. I saw a lot of timber trucks but was not at all impressed.

Some of the trucks were 8x6 but in my opinion 8x4 is enough.

8x4 is not legal in western Canada. Not unless its a tandem drive twin steer and that setup you can't really get loaded to legal weights on the front. Three powered drive axles will get you in places barefoot where a tandem would either need chains or a pull.

We had a 4x4 Unimog and a tridrive water truck on a job years ago. Unimog with swamp tires could barely get in to some of the place we got the tridrive in with just regular 24.5 tires and 385 tires on the steer axle. Unimog would just settle and sink in the muskeg when it sat. The Western Star just sat there on top with no problems.
