Trucking school?

Just an FYI, the college i found that also is accredited, and does regular federal financial aid is in Ohio... Quite a bit closer than Iowa.

most 10 week class start the 15th of every month at tdds..I started the 15 of march.. will be done may 22..i test may 24th...TDDS is a good school.. one of the top 3 in the country..
You will have 4 weeks class room.. with david dan... then 6 weeks yard..

 

4 weeks of class room?

egads! That would be a long boring 4 weeks IMO.

6 weeks yard is ok. How much street driving in traffic?

 

I would say we drove about 50 to 70 miles each a day.. we had 3 in our truck group... we started doing baily loop... all lefts..then all rights.. then we got to go all over the place ..in town.. skinny 2 lane roads... I 76..

 

David Dan makes the class room interesting.. he is a great teacher...it went by real fast... 7 am till 3:30.. He teaches more then he is obligated to... we was out in the yard doing coupling uncoupling and Pre trip..the last week and a half...

Then out on the yard and road.. we drove downtown warren.. canfield, deerfield..4 lane..2 lane.. they divide it up.. in groups.. like group A drives while group B is doing yard.. then we switch..

We had great road instructors..3 million milers..and great yard instructors.. none yelled or got mad at anything.. always calm..and helpful to the ones that need help.. they will do one on one if needed..
