I'm looking for feedback from recent graduates from ffe driving academy or other graduates from a different school. I cant afford to finance a driving school on my own so it looks like im going to have to sign up with a cdl mill school but curious on any recommendations. Thanks John

If you are unemployed, check with your unemployment office. States are funded thru the stimulous, under the Displayed Workers Act for retraining.
They will cover your entire cost of a local truck driving school at no cost to you.
This is better than ANY school associated with a trucking company.
You will not owe any money, will attend school locally and sleep in your own bed and eat real meals.
    Good luck.

This is excellent advice. Check into getting a grant to attend a local school such as Sage. No money out of pocket, no year or two contract with a trucking company training you their way, no ties to any company and the freedom to find the job you want once you have the CDL.

BigJohn, you are 30 minutes away from Cape Fear Comunity College in Castle Hayne. They have an excellent Truck driving school there. Check with the NCSEC, and also contact CFCC financial aid dept. The cost of the school is only around $800.00. If you need directions let me know

I know nothing about roadmaster. Cape Fear is a state sponsored school, and the tuition is a lot less than a private school. The training at CFCC is great

I'm unemployed and the state paid my 5k for school, endorsements, licenses, etc. Plus they gave me some gas money. Check around, some offices run out of money quick. I had to go buy a p.o. box 1.5 hours away to get a different office to fund me. My local office offered less than half the tuition

All the above is excellant information. In Georgia, through the Dept. of Labor, it's the WIA program. If you qualify they will pay for your CDL training. I referred some of my guys there. In addition to free CDL training, they received limited unemployment benefits to help tide them over while in school. Research is the secret. Dig, dig, and dig. Then dig some more. Good Luck.

    sdaniel Thanks this.

And always find which carriers hire out of your
Choosen school. There are some top notch
Carrers who hire out of some schools. Dig!
No need for your first job to be a starter job, that
stinks! Best of luck! If anyone wants info
About epestransport , be glad to ans any questions.
