    I wound up deadheading 600 miles yesterday. Boards were just dead, I mean dead! It's ok, I still made out fine for the week.

    It's only the second time ever I've deadheaded over 500. Other than those two times I don't think I've ever deadheaded over 150.

    Ok last off topic post i promise. Look at how brazen they're being

    U.S. Army offering up to $30k for Active Duty PSYOP Specialists > U.S. ARMY RECRUITING COMMAND > U.S. Army Recruiting News

    Straight from the horse's mouth posted less than a month ago. They're gearing up

    "Psychological operations specialists are experts in wielding influence, analyzing the susceptibilities and vulnerabilities of a specific foreign audiences, and crafting messages and actions to influence and engage target audiences"

    @FoolsErrand where you be at?

    Yea this was probably the farthest I have deadheaded as well. Ended up going from Morgantown, WV down to Wytheville (along my route though). Ended up being my best week ever, which probably is a normal week for most.

    When you say the the board was dead, do you mean there were no loads going the way you needed to go or were there some really cheap pathetic loads on the board as well?

    From my perspective, it seemed things started shutting down Thursday. Friday was very slow with minimal postings, at least in the direction that I was heading. Rates were also not very impressive either in my opinion.

    Ok, thanks. I have seen the rates come up on certain lanes. But I still have seen brokers with ridiculously priced loads they are trying to get moved. I have several decent paying loads but it was late in the day

    I mean there were no outbound loads where I was. Central PA headed down 81. I watched the boards all day, I mean like 1 0r 2 loads in a 250 mile radius of my route. Pretty typical for a holiday. I was looking at loads out of home for me (east TN) and they were still good throughout the day. Not sure what Monday will be like. Fingers crossed.

    I seem to have better luck with Eastern PA, when I am up that way. I was over near Pitt (first time there), not sure if it is always that slow over in those parts or if the holiday played a part as well.

    86scotty and zmster2033 Thank this.
