Because they want u going the slower speed. Figure most drivers won't wanna keep there foot on the pedal. I use to drive for Roehl a few years ago. I am enjoying this thread. Fun to see where everyone is running to.

Why is right. Plus they get better fuel mileage when your on th cruise. Really hated it and mostly kept my foot to the floor. I just wish they'd had them at 65 it feels so different. Lol
-
Yep you got use to holding that peddle down all the time after a few days.
But having my own truck now I dont go much over 60.
-
That's silly. If I'm on the interstate I never use my cruise, my foot and steel toe boots are heavy enough to keep it to the floor without much exertion on my part.
-
As a trainer I was in a '06 Pete 387 with 600k on it. My students I would put off the truck would get off and get '11 Cascadia'a and '11/'12 386's. I never figured out who dick to suck to get a new truck evidently......
-
Petes? What company? Roehl doesn't have any Petes.
-
I prefer not to name the company. All I will say is they were one of the BIG major carriers out there and they sucked badly.
-
Sounds like TMC
-
LOL Think WAY bigger....

They are pretty big, only one that has pet's are werner then. If thats so I feel sorry, you trained tons of drivers that probably failed in the end.
