I am going through the initial recruiting process, and hope to go to training in SLC, assuming I don't get the job offer from Halliburton I am after. >.<
I am curious, what type of trucks are new drivers getting these days? I've done a bunch of forum searches, but most of the info I find is a couple years old or more. Anyhow, thanks for the info!

1) getting the truck driving job
2) the company adheres to all federal, state, and local safety regulations
3) BASIC pay and benefits since you are a beginner
4) any truck that is safe and in excellent running condition with everything on it working

Trust me, those are among my primary concerns, but those concerns also bring some stress to someone who is changing careers. I figured having something fun to look forward to (i.e. the excitement of knowing what type of truck I might get to look forward to) might help to alleviate some of that stress, and bring an element of fun to the process.

That equipment link is outdated a bit. Most new company drivers can expect to get '12 or newer Cascadias, Volvos, or perhaps a ProStar. The greatest percentage are Cascadias, although I got a '13 Volvo right after upgrading. Nearly all of the Petes are for leasing, although there may be exceptions.
