I remember when I used to hear all about the nasty truck stops .Well I guess those days are back.I would much rather stop at a rest area any day over a truck stop.95 exit 104 pick any one of them.
If its the one im thinking of south of Manassas, VA. The J on the west side of the free way was decent and clean. Tho the dennys sucked ###. The CB shop was decent also.
The one with the Blue Beacon isn't too bad, just a bit of a pain to get to. If I had to fuel during peak hours I would go to the other one though. Less of a cluster leading up to the pumps.
Again??????? I didn't know they ever lost it! At least from what I see posted here a lot. I'm kind of glad I haven't had to use them these past many years. Back when I was using them, you had good ones and bad ones, even under the same company brand. It was just a matter of learning which ones you stop at, and which ones you pass by.
Horrible unhealthy food. It's just an oversize convenient store that's all they are. Dirty bathrooms, Dirty lots with damage everywhere. I remember a long time ago there was a fight in the drivers lounge. It was at the Petro in Barstow. The majority of the people wanted to watch a football game. Well there were three drivers who have been in the lounge for awhile. They were all in their mid fifties at least, watching a Bugs Bunny marathon that was on and didn't want anybody to change the channel. Wow!!..... Bugs Bunny gentlemen? Make a long story short the majority over threw the minority and a huge fist fight broke out. This is our industry? I wouldn't say just truck stops are getting a bad rep, what an embarrassment.
Im sorry, Bugs Bunny is a hell of alot more entertaining then watching 2 1/2 hours of guys looking for excuses to grab one and other and get paid way to much for doing so.
Both of those CB shops are a joke. One is over priced under experienced, the other looks like a transformer robot threw up. The closest real CB shop is DTB in PA.
