I have seen quite a few T680s rolling through the area with Prime on the doors and trailers. Does Prime Company drivers run 680 or are they all LTO or O.O?

Prime quit on the KW's about 2yrs ago. Even for few years before that, they only ordered as fill in when they couldn't obtain enough Freighties or Pete's. Said too many issues & probs.

The one's you saw have to be pre-existing company &/or lease trucks. This would be the case if the "Prime" was predominant on side of truck. If "Prime" was secondary, small lettering while another company name was large/predominant on doors.....is an O/O that is leased on. Of course, anyone can purchase one outside, on their own, & bring it on as an O/O. Prime just gave up on them. No leasing or L/P them, either, ever since they stopped ordering them.

    ;)

Prime has Petes for company trucks? That would be awesome if that's the case!

Last year they made a huge contract order of 2500 Pete 579's.

Not sure if any are going to be worked in as company trucks or not.

    Usually lease.

Check out Jim Palmer Trucking website; super nice trucks and full size also. They haul for Prime.

I know several company drivers who got lucky when getting assigned a condo sleeper and got a 587. Prime has also ordered several automatic 579's with the 80" sleepers. A large chunk were made available to L/P first, but a good number did go company. The ratio of company Petes to Freightliners or Internationals is like 1:100 though, so don't hold your breath for one.

    FullMetalJacket Thanks this.
