This makes me wonder why there are so many more trucks on the road nowadays.

We, truck owners already pay a tax for rest areas. IFTA. Fuel tax is supposed to pay for roadways and motoring infrastructure.
If the politicians would keep there filthy paws out of this fund. There probably would be enough to keep the rest areas open.
No they all want bike paths and ATV trails and "green space". Isn't a farmers field "green space".
    Taxes. Taxes, taxes..

No they want private industry to build gas stations with mini marts is their rationale according to article in OverDrive I think it was. Maybe LiveTrucking. That's their excuse. I mean that's all fine and good, but we can't park there.
And I don't know about you, but I've been stuck. No way in hell I'm leaving hard surface after dark, and I'd have to walk it first during the day.

Humans work around mandates, requirements and the law by the dozen. Extremely creativity in action here. Thank God.

    Until the lawmakers rewrite...

They used to charge 10 bucks to park there and the lot was level, now it's free.
I'd rather pay the 10 bucks, (it's by a bar in Indianapolis)

You need to plan better Tuck
Bottoms up at the J in Lebanon
    Brewskies in Seymour
    The steakhouse in spiceland
That lot behind Pilot a Harding just isn't worth a bar stool
