I called in on a trailer without working service brakes today that I was picking up. BTW, thanks, J. Clark for not bothering to call that in when you dropped it in Valliant. I was on hold long enough that I had time to fix the stupid trailer myself. I honestly think that's their hope, sometimes.

I've fixed three trailers so far while waiting in the express bay line at Gary. It's pretty great, pull into line, sit for a bit, go fix it yourself and leave.

 

If only they paid us $125.00 an hour for our mechanic skills, right?

 

If SEM was notified, they wouldn't send anyone out to fix it until that trailer was powered or just tag it in the computer for the next time it rolls into an OC.

 

Sounds like Werner,Peterbilt and TA hated dealing with them.

 

If he got so many bonuses he sure didn't try to get one from me, ashame though because I would have put him on there because there is nothing wrong with getting a bonus for someone starting a job they chose anyways . Good day.

 

I found one there last night with a flat tire, it was an empty so I didn't take but I kept the trailer number and wonder who should I call about it , the flat was so obvious , I didn't even have to look good to see the big chunk of tread missing and push with my hand to tell it was flat.

 

Way back before cell phones and qaulcomms I called after hours dispatch at dart on Thanksgiving day to tell ole ####### Harlan I was empty.
He proceeded to read me a freight list so fast I couldn't comprehend it and then hung up .
So I call back and he says you didn't reply so I assumed you didn't want any of it.
Then he reads it again real SLOW and he was right I didn't want any of it so I hung up on him.
